Airport Drone Protection booked the airfield at Bicester Aerodrome as the site for the annual Counter Drone (C-UAS)
Live Demonstration Day.

London, November 2024 – Airport Drone Protection (ADP) has announced Bicester Aerodrome as the venue for this year’s Counter Drone (C-UAS) Live Demonstration Day. This highly anticipated event will cap off the ADP Conference, scheduled to take place at the Park Plaza Victoria in London from November 26th to 28th.

ADP Director, Hector F. Olono Martinez, emphasized the meticulous planning behind the Live Demonstration.
“From the entire investigation to site selection, we’ve engaged with regulators, law enforcement, military operators, and C-UAS companies to ensure that the demonstration aligns perfectly with the regulatory framework. We’ve reserved the entire airfield for the detection side of the demonstration and a second C-UAS testing exercise to be performed indoors in a Hangar. We are also planning some dynamics during the demonstration to make things more interesting.” Martinez stated.

He added “Although there isn’t an official C-UAS certification in place, we are collaborating with organizations that work with regulators and military on testing and certification of equipment. C-UAS participants will have the opportunity to engage with them at the event, although the process would take an extra week, they can get documentation to confirm that their equipment has been tested in the UK, which can serve as a significant credentials when engaging with potential clients, especially in the UK market”.

Usually, C-UAS companies go through this process when trying to enter UK markets, specially while dealing with law enforcement, military and even airports sometimes.

ADP has enlisted ex-Royal Airforce Air & Space Operations Specialist, Stefan Crossland, to oversee the flight and demonstration operations, using his past experience with the Red Arrows to add a little flair to the demonstration as well as ensuring safety and compliance. Crossland will coordinate with local authorities, emergency services, and regulators to establish contingency plans and issue a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) to prevent any air space conflicts during the event.

There will be in attendance representatives from airports, civil aviation, air navigation, transport, and defense authorities, alongside with industry's leaders, top minds and experts. Attendees will gain valuable insights from real-life experiences, the latest technological advancements, and networking opportunities, including pre-scheduled 1-to-1 meetings with key industry players.

As the only C-UAS event dedicated specifically to airports, ADP’s Live Demonstration Day is an unmissable opportunity for professionals in the aviation sector. With limited spaces secure your place by using the link the following link: https://www.airportdroneprotection.com/registration
